This game was built at the GRID Lab at Ohio University. I was responsible for converting older versions from Actionscript 2.0 to Actionscript 3.0 and development of mini games. I essentially just looked over the Actionscript 2 code and upon understanding the logic, started from scratch wit the art to build the actionscript 3.0 vversion. Then the minigames were built seperately and loaded into the main file as seperate .swf files. View an example of one here:

This game is about financial planning and is aimed at conveying the joys of a responsible financial decision maker. It is written with AS3 and imports XML for easy and quick editing by the design team. At second glance you notice this system is one step away from a traditional RPG.

Ram Pit Up

Rapid Prototyped in 18 Hours with an artist and designer. We will continue to work on it in small chunks. Very little art implemented. A game of rock, paper, scissors, representing an attack type and button mashing keyboard representing strength of the attack. The key is for this game to be online multiplayer. I devised a way for two users to extract and edit nodes on one XML document simulating real-time interactivity. It still needs some work but in this phase you can see the xml that is being sent and received as the game plays.

WARNING:There are no instructions!!
To play: choose a player then push ready. On go start pushing all of the keys as shown in the image below. top row is a high attack, middle row, bottom row, blah blah. Yoru bar will fill up as you press buttons, but will constaly go back down until you press space bar. But you want to press the space bar after the ram indicator on the top left is just passed the ridge. This will later represent the lip of the pit you are jumping over.

Effing Sweet

Global Game Jam 2009 in Pittsburg, PA. Game is made with Flash CS3 using Actionscript 3. Essentially a 2-d scroller with pick-ups that effect your perception of the surrounding world. This game is very concept heavy and in a strictly prototyped stage.

Blazar was my first game. It is built in Flash CS3 written with actionscript 3. I was the lead programmer. Many more to come both flash and beyond....(Blazar wants to get to the iPhone).

Mister Got Heat Surveillance Deck

Mister Got Heat webpage: conceptual design of a robot lab that studies the band mister got heat and also has robot scouts in every major city waiting to deploy. I also spruced up Mister Got Heat's MySpace page.This site is still "under construction" so bookmark and check back often, I've got some pretty big plans for this site including an audio editor so fans can break apart and rearrange their favorite Mister Got Heat songs to make whole new songs through a loop based interface. Uses Actionscript3.0, PHP mail form, and dynamic mp3 music player running of outside text script.

Turner Talent Management

This was a project I took on in good faith. The owner never saw fit to pay me for my work, so I stopped working. Today the site is sleazed up with pictures of scantely clad girls, but I still have all the original images and Drupal Theme folder for skeptics. I assure you there is no way the owner of this site could have ever installed drupal on his own let alone design a custom theme for it.

30th Anniversary Children's Hospital 24-Hour Run

A Man from Woodsfield,OH named Charlie, has been organizing and participating in a 24-hour run for the children's hospital in Columbus for 30 years! This is a video slideshow celebrating all those years with music by Sigur Ros.

Documetary - Zach Quillen

This documentary focuses on a music education graduate who because of "No Child Left Behind" is without a job and works as a manger at a popular bar in Athens, OH. He gets a guaranteed wednesday night gig at the bar he works at, but is that enough?
